Travelodge Docklands Hotel, London

For a budget hotel, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, but very basic, a hair drier would have been nice as a basis item,and perhaps some money invested in better quality pillows would be good, but for what we wanted it was absolutely fine, the only real downer was the heat in the corridors and rooms it was so hot you would have thought they had the heating on, and although you could open the windows in the daytime, impossible to leave them open at night due to the road noise, breakfasts were good with plenty of choice, and the evening meal was good value for the price, again with a good selection The hotel was in a great position for visiting the O2 and with its proximity to the DLR it was easy to get to all the sightseeing areas,BEST TIP, buy an oyster card as soon as you can, even if just for a couple of days, saves messing around trying to work out what underground ticket or bus ticket to buy All in all a good stay, would return without any qualms

Good hotel, good breakfast. Good rooms, There is some traffic noise. (Much noice when the window is open) No airco, so hot in summer with window closed.

This is my 3rd time at the hotel, twice on a special interest trip to London and once with my family last November. I enjoy its location and was ideally suited for my many forays onto the DLR and then onwards on the tube. My visit to the hotel included free continental breakfast but because I needed to be out very early I was unable to make use of the offer. The evening food was excellent and the selection was very good. The room was ideal and in a quiet part of the hotel. Therefore another great 3 days spent in the hotel and will surely go again. 4 night stay to visit London attractions. Staff very helpful and polite, room and general hotel very clean and quiet, good buffet style breakfast arrangement(though scrambled egg a little rubbery!). Convenient on-site car parking arrangements with 24-hour manned supervision. Great location for nearby access to Docklands Light Railway. In all a recommended hotel and a satisfied customer.
