Travelodge Farringdon Hotel, London

Everything was ok except for the shower which didn't work and the beds that were so so.

Clean and welcoming, rooms in need of updating.

all good except one light wouldn't switch off! press off and it just came on again!! Reasonably clean and comfortable - bit far from nearest tube station but overall acceptable. Breakfast good and we had a good time in London.

The Farringdon Hotel was fantastically clean, friendly and extremely weel run by its staff. I must tell you this from the off. The first thing we would like to say is there was no air conditioning in the room. We would like you to take that as an observation rather than a complaint. Probably due to the fact that my wife and I stayed there on the hottest weekend in London since records began. The second is most definately a complaint. During our stay at the Farringdon we ate all our meals there and there were beautifully prepared and served. By all our meals I mean Breakfast and Evening meals. Untill the our last night there, we went down to the dining room at the usual time only to be informed that there was no meal avilable to guests that night as there was a special function where the chef had to cater for "300" other guests. I dont know whether those were hotel guests or from outside. In fairness to the man behind the bar he checked with the chef that was the case which it was. But we were told we could have " pizza" I did let the barperson know I was not happy about that and left the hotel and we ate elswhere. This makes me wonder if anyone else on that night were turned away. I'd like to make one more observation If your chef can only manage to cook for 300 people and NOT 302 then perhaps you'd be better off looking for another chef that can cook for how many wants to eat. Having said that my wife and I will stop with you again as we come to london often to see the shows.
