Great value for such a wonderful, modern hotel. Great service too. The tube station was closed so it was a 10 - 15minute walk to the nearest tube station but the bus system was fabulous and really close by

Good location and in general helpful, friendly staff. Ok bar and lounge area and lots of music/media sightings. Room however (and hotel as a whole)was tired and dated - the bathroom in particular in need of attention e.g. mouldy sealant, cracked toilet, scuffed paintwork. Attention to detail lacking in room e.g.tea/coffee supplies not restocked. Despite having booked an English breakfast and it being stated on the booking form, it was disputed on checking in, and although reassured it had been resolved, the following morning at breakfast it was once again disputed. In fact we had to ask for the manager before they admitted they were mistaken. The waiter was very apologetic, but the whole incident did did rather spoil breakfast. In conclusion, felt the hotel was significantly less impressive than The Hoxton for instance, and we would not be tempted to stay there again. Good for music industry sightings and a cocktail in the lounge, but poor otherwise.

Second time at this hotel. Had the same room as the previous visit next to the railway. This wasn't a major problem due to the double glazing but wonder if customers that book through other websites are given the least popular rooms. Also we advised reception on checking out that the smoke detector in the room had been blocked with wet paper towels by previous occupants. It was found still blocked, two months later on this visit. Not very safe!

excelent hotel,staff very good,rooms very comfortable,exactly where we needed to be for location 5 mins from bbc studio,didnt stay for dinner tho mix up with breakfast tried to only offer continental tho booked full english/breakfast a little under cooked is only complaint. good lively reception area,very popular with locals.
