Rennie Mackintosh Central Station Hotel, Glasgow

The location of the hotel is ideal for a first time visitor in Glasgow, near the station and the airport bus stop. No elevator! We had to carry our heavy bags until reception on the first floor, where after we checked in, they promised to get them for us to the room upstairs .. in half an hour. But we needed them at once! In the evening I could not switch on the TV because the remote control was missing and it did not work without it. So I had to wait about half an hour (again!) before the member of the staff brought me one. Being tired in the evening one would definitely prefer to take a shower and relax by the TV, so it felt like eternity. Breakfast was poor but one could get it just two steps away from the hotel in the centre of Glasgow. I liked that the rooms were clean and the staff was polite and friendly. If you have heavy bags, think twice before booking.

Hotel was ok.was ok for the money we payed for it.bed where clean.nice bathroom.bit hotel is really really needing done up.it,s ok just to get your head down for a couple of nites

Excellent service from the very friendly and helpful staff, in a great position by the station, very clean and comfortable room. Only down side the room was at the front and the street noise went on till 4 am both nights! Otherwise would highly recommend for its price.

Basic but okay, as the saying goes you get what you pay for.Great breakfast by the way!. Only complaint really, concerns the website description stating this hotel has a car park. Not true, and we would have stayed elsewhere if we had known this.
