An excellent choice for a weekend in Edinburgh since hotel very central. Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Our room was a good size and nicely furnished. Bathroom also well equipped - and clean. Breakfast was satisfactory but its location in a large function room which seemed about to face renovation was disappointing. Now for the tea! Excellent tea served in a reception/drawing room. But the price - £8 for two cups - quite the most pricey tea taken anywhere!!

The hotel room was spacious, the enormous bed was very comfortable, the room was equipped with everything we might need. The food was delicious and the service efficient and courteous. The location was perfect with easy access to Princes Street but on a quiet square for a peaceful atmosphere in which to relax.
