The Yeego experience was user-friendly, quick and efficient. I'm still amazed at how you get such good hotel deals. Many of your competitors don't seem to beat you on price and value for money.
Most notably I like Yeegos price quotes for an entire stay, not quotes based on the average nightly price like so many other hotel reservation websites do.

Location Overview
The Channings Hotel is a stunning four-star hotel that is situated on a peaceful cobbled street only a few minutes walk from the city center of Edinburgh. It is an upmarket part of the city and within easy reach of all the delights this historic city has to offer. The Edinburgh Airport is approximately 15 kilometers from the hotel and the closest station will be the Haymarket station, which is only one kilometer away. A one minute walk will take guests to the bus stop, making it very easy to explore also the surrounding areas

The hotel has an excellent position and the initial impression is impressive. Unfortunately the reality, for us, did not match and it was not a four star experience.
In short and despite the slightly over zealous attention of the reception staff/concierge:
*the hotel is "tired" and clearly in need of a makeover.
*the lift is small and dated and does not reach the basement floor requiring all guests to negotiate a dark and "hidden" staircase to reach the bar and dining room.
* Despite advising that we wanted a twin room we were shown to a double. This was changed after a short delay but we were alarmed at the miniscule proportions of the double room and were relieved that the twin was slightly larger. (The room mix up was claimed by reception staff to be down to misleading booking advice.)
*the fan in our bathroom did not work (no window) and despite raising this with reception no solution was offered.
* Temperature control in our shower was difficult to control it tended to fluctuate as other guests placed demands upon this service. Unsafe and a potential hazard.
* Our breakfast was “OK” and the staff were pleasant enough but there were simply insufficient staff to support the volume of guests with anything like a four star service.
*We have stayed in many other Edinburgh hotels and were expecting a “top quality” four star experience but Channings simply does not deliver.
*Without the necessary refurb. and additional staffing it is presently not offering value for money.

Medium size Hotel. Nice reception
are where you can read the FT, use the PC or simply sit down and relax. Very good breakfast. Nice bar and restaurant with a varied menu of modern european dishes.Warm and friendly staff.
The room my partner and I stayed in was a bit small, but it was clean and had a lovely view to the gardens. I would recommend this Hotel to weekend breakers, honeymooners and mature couples in search of relaxation.

The Hotel was great and the hotel staff were even better. Great service, spotlessly clean and lovely breakfast. Rooms had great character. The only reason I would deduct a point from my rating is that the shower in our room wasn't great but otherwise faultless. Ross in the hotel was so helpful and went out of his way to get us information.
