It was under a refurbishment programme and the reception constantly smelt of paint. Our actual corridor was fine and the room was excellent. Great location. Bar prices bit expensive but fantastic Scottish breakfast and really friendly and kind waitresses every morning. The reception staff were also very helpful

hotel was fine .we booked this hotel as it supposed to have parking. it did but it took my friends about an hour to find it.

Professional and friendly reception team, who went out of their way in providing car parking instructions, tourists attractions and answering their phone. Hygiene- clean tidy hotel throughout. Room neat, tidy and comfortable, with plenty of guides of places to visite.Dinning area- well laid out plenty of space, food and service excellent.Bar- small and compact, service friendly with chatty staff. One incident which could have caused a problem. We ordered sandwiches, about 10.30pm whilest in the bar area. After a long wait, we was served at the table we sat at, which was a small tall table. After finishing the sandwiches, I left the table to go to the toilet. unfortunatley the table rocked and my partners full glass of wine, ended up down my shirt and trouses. I started to clean the mess when a member of staff said they would clean it. I went to the toilet to clean up and dry off. On my return I asked the member of staaff if they would replace the glass of wine due to an uneven table. They refused and said they new the table was rocky, and also unsuitable to eat food at. When I asked to see the manager, he said he was the night manager and he still refused to replace the drink. Even though he admitted to having a rocky table that in his opinion was unsuitable to eat at, even though he served the food to us at this table. I thought his customer service let him down. Overall a great stay, and I will recommend to others, thanks for a nice break.

We were very happy with the hotel. The room was very nice, the staff friendly, and the breakfast was really good. It is a nice walk to the city centre. Thank you very much for everything!
