Paragon Hotel, Birmingham

The shower was a mere trickle in both mine and my friend's room. The residents bar closed quite early too which was disappointing. Apart from that the room was pleasant and clean. The price I payed for my nights stay was amazing value.

Very central and very friendly staff

Dimly lit room, unable to order breakfast to room, inattentive service in dining room, cutlery and crockery filthy, room heating either roasting and smelly if heater turned on and freezing if turned off.

EXCELLENT ROOM AND HOTEL DAY WAS VERY WARM AND THERE WAS NO COOLING IN SIDE THE ROOM ESP AT NIGHT I REALLY HAD TO TAKE COLD SHOWERS TO COPE THE HEAT INSIDE THE ROOM .I'LL RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR SHORT OR LONG STAY ONLY 15 MIN WALK FROM CITY CENTER IF GUIDED PROPERLY OTHERWISE MANY HOURS. BEST BREAKFAST IN A VERY COSY ROOM

Ther was no hot water all the time. The brekfast was very poor.

This was the fourth time we have used this hotel when visiting Birmingham. It's in a quiet area with free on-street parking and a 15 minute walk from the Bullring. We were allocated upgraded rooms and these were a good size and recently decorated, with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffe being a nice touch. We could also check in at noon. Breakfast was a very good buffet. However, our friends, who arrived a day later, had an old room and this they rated as very poor. they also could not check in until after 3 pm, hence the lowish rating.
