Some parts of the house date back to the 13th century and the accommodation is comfortable and cosy. All of the guest rooms are comfortable and nicely equipped to give a feeling of being home while away from home. The hotel offers 22 spacious en-suite Superior Bedrooms, each having been individually, decorated in-keeping with this historic and elegant style of the hotel, with modern conveniences including satellite, colour television (with Sky Sports 1 & 3) and telephone facilities with modem connections

The Priory room provides a splendid setting for a candlelit dinner, with its stone walls, open fire and intimate atmosphere. With its old world charm, character and home from home atmosphere, Poachers Pocket is a wonderful restaurant in which to sample the delights from our exclusive menu either for lunch or dinner, whilst enjoying breathtaking views over the River Dee. Set in the heart of our magnificent hotel is our cocktail bar, dating from 1225 with its granite open log fire and stone walls. This room is a favourite venue for an apertif or after dinner coffee

Beautiful hotel. Very nice from the outside but much better inside. Nice furnishing and appearance. Professional staff (not very kind but quite polite). Room was clean and so was the SPA (which is unfortunally 20m from the hotel, so you have to go out the hotel rooms to go in the leasure club house). Good breakfast with large choice and a good restaurant. You'll be satisfied.

Very comfortable hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant with surprisingly adventurous menu. The halibut steak wth pork belly and razor clam fricasse was fantastic.
