Ersu Hotel, Istanbul

Room, basic, clean and tidy. The hotel was being refurbished, but it made a pleasant change from both UK and other destinations, many of whom at considerably higher cost are unable to present a clean shower, or one that did not leak. Good value, lets hope the costs don't go up after the refurb,as we would definitely stay again. Breakfast was again basic, but the service adequate and unobtrusive, with the garson very quick to clear away, and present clean tables, with the food fresh wholesome, and healthy. However, first Turkish hotel ever stayed in with no honey for breakfast, which should be offered as it is such a big factor in rural Turkish economy. Good central location, heating works well to. Reception staff efficent and well mannered, able to cope with a multitude of differing nationalities. Notable for Turkish Nationals staying, which says much for the value. Lets hope they keep up the good work. DLS.
