| The Limmat is one of the most durable of the cost-conscious hotels of downtown Zurich. The hotel occupies part of a four-story building erected in 1935 in the Bauhaus style as a convention center, and whose boxy-looking facade is today protected as a historic monument. After the renovation of the lobby, entrance, bar, restaurant club, and former Congress Centre, the Limmat Xtra has changed into a stylish multi-functional house which is very famous with young people in Zurich, as well as artists and musicians. The Limmat is one of the largest organizers of rock-and-roll concerts in Switzerland, often staging their acts in the cavernous restaurant and night club that occupies the ground floor. | Accommodations are streamlined, partially paneled, and outfitted in a style you might identify as Danish modern. The 43 rooms with 98 beds (single, double, triple and quads) are equipped with the typical comfort of a three star hotel; shower /WC, hair dryer, cable-TV, direct dial telephone, AM/FM radio, alarm clock and mini-bar. | The small lobby has recently been renovated in bright, fashionable style. The large restaurant and bar has been completely renovated, and is now very modern and stylish. It is a popular meeting place with the young, trendy set. The hotel is now part of an entertainment complex which includes an indoor discotheque for 1500 people - a venue for the latest bands and DJs as well as special parties. The hotel also has a variety of facilities and services that are sure to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers; fitness center, barber/beauty shop, safe-deposit box at reception, laundry, dry cleaning, currency exchange, concierge tour desk, on-site car rental, parking and private garage |

| Clean, friendly atmosphere, well-located, room fine and breakfast as well. We feared it was going to be too noisy but it was just the opposite. Highly recommended |

| i enjoyed my night at the limmat x-tra, which provides a good deal for the price. clean rooms, great night sleep, decent breakfast, and really really nice staff. It is situated about a 10 minute walk from main station in the student area which is quite nice. the hotel does have a borderline hostel feel to it, but that is not such a bad thing. Enjoyed working in the bar. |

| A very pleasant hotel .Location very convenient.Next to train station and public transport. People very kind.Rooms spacy and clean. Service and breakfast royal. A place to come back. Only the combination Disco-hotel is not ideal for sensitive ears. |
