Funny difference between Continental Brekfast and Buffet. Much more use of staff with the cheap version

The hotel was very good related to price paid and taking into account how much expensive Switzerland is. The only compaint I have is that we've been informed that the breakfast incl.in the price was a light one (not full) although in the booking wasn't mentioned something like that

Poor in space and not very functional reception. Invisible and narrow passage to hotel shop. Unpleasant color scheme in bedrooms.

the hotel is really price worthy: rooms are spacious and well appointed; the breakfast is amazing! Since in our room there was no frigobar (because of an energy saving campaign), they gave us for free a box of chocolates. Furthermore, a free bottle of water is given in every room! Also the location is excellent: around 500 meters from the city centre. The hotel parking (26 chf per day) might be cheaper for the guests.

Silent and proper as always. New: hotel bar non-smoking ! This is very welcome. Negative: car parking too expensive.

We had a pleasant stay and the Allegro hotel is as we expected and is an ideal location to explore surrounding areas by car as far as Interlaken and Zermatt. The room is clean and quiet and of reasonable size which is more than adequate for a family of three with a decent shower facility. The room tea/coffee making facility is a very welcome addition. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast is adequate and if we opted for a buffet breakfast, there will be a extra charge (10 CHF each) which we were not aware of before check-in.

The hotel is a pleasure to visit and the staff are very friendly. Good points. 1. Bed room size. (huge) 2. Clean on suite and bedroom 3. Free safe in the room to store your valuables (not that you would need it in Switzerland) 4. Pay as you go Internet Access and Films. 5. Friendly staff who are always happy to help 6. Easy booking in and checking out 7. Plenty of bars to relax in to suite all occasions 8. Good continental breakfast to get the day started. 9. Pretty location 10. Casino (For the rich and famous, very expensive drinks) Points requiring attention. 1. We have 1 main meal in the hotel and we felt the steak sandwich was slightly under cooked, and came with too much relish. Please note this was just one meal and breakfast was always great. 2. Although the room was very clean, under the enormous beds it was dusty, but no real big issue. 3. Overnight parking is not free. (Costs around 24 chf (£12)) On the whole we have an excellent time at the Hotel Allegro is a great place to be, and Bern it self a lovely city definitely worth visiting. We would definitely visit the Hotel Allegro again as we really enjoyed our stay there.

nice place to stay, near to the old town, perfect rooms and a wonderful breakfast buffet - a recommendation!

Located at 5 minutes walking distance from the old part of the city. Size of double-room is ca 20 m2, modern design and well maintained. Very clean. Employees are very friendly and eager to help to correct any problem. The food in the restaurant at ground-floor level was good, quality price ratio normal for switzerland standards. Food in the chinese restaurant is of outstanding quality,quite expensive. We will visit this restaurant and the hotel again during our next trip to Bern

The Hotel Allegro was a fantastic place to stay. Fun and clean modern room and a very nice breakfast buffet. Also very convenient that there is a tram stop at the front door of the hotel. The rail station is only a 4 min tram ride away. Best place we have stayed in years.

Good hotel, situated at 5 minutes by foot from the center - excellent service - confortable & nice rooms. The only negative point is the very small parking of this hotel, compared to the number of rooms and activities.
