A handy hotel for the centre of Bern. It is opposite the main train station and various tram/bus stops. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable and spacious but did not have air conditioning which would have been good given the hot weather we had. Staff were friendly and the buffet breakfast very good.

The hotel is very conveniently located at the exit of the Rail City Bern. We had the room at the highest attic floor, which is not bad actually. The room is quite long, with a good view of Bern Rail city exit. The room and toilet are clean. The only concern I had was no air-con in the room. It can be stuffy during summer time. To our surprise, the hotel did not provide free LAN/WIFI. This was the only hotel we stayed that did not provide free internet during our 2-week trip in Europe. Luckily, Rail City Bern provided free internet but it blocked all social network interactions, which is still ok as we needed internet to check-in our flight and check weather and local attractions. Breakfast was good with enough choices. We went for breakfast at 7:45 am and there was a big tour group in the restaurant. It was a total mess. We went out and came back around 8:30 am and things were gradually back to normal, but still with a few misses here and there, I couldn't blame them. Overall, I will consider to stay in this hotel again if price continues to stay competitive.

We were a group of 3, found that room is spacious and clean. Location is great too...very near the train station and shopping place. Would be even better if hotel offers free WIFI/Internet.

The big plus is the proximity to the the station and the old city, and to a very nearby public outdoor swimming area. Try to float on the Aare with the locals. Room difficult to get cool. Breakfast is awful, if you find enough of it. On several days, they did not have any more sandwiches and seemingly did not bother.

Contrary to the many poor reviews we read before booking here, my husband and I were quite impressed with the effort made by the staff to accommodate our needs. We were greeted by friendly, professional people. The hotel is in an awesome location, located immediately adjacent to the train station and University (which is where my conference was held!). Our room was clean and roomy. The breakfast was good and nicely presented, and, contrary to previous reports, there was nobody watching every piece of food that we ate. The breakfast room was also clean and comfortable. As it turned out, we ended up needing another night at the end of our stay. We requested the same room, and that is exactly what we got. This is why it's important that we keep providing feedback, because in the case of this hotel, improvements were made. We would definitely return, and would recommend it to others.

Be certain to ask for a room on the top floor. Love the frosted glass that separates the bathroom from the sleeping area. Soft duvets, but very firm beds. Pay no attention to previous reviews about noise from construction. That is now finished, the square is lovely. Good views of city streets and pulsing train station. Parking is scarce and EXPENSIVE. The whole city is costly, less than Luxembourg, More than Netherlands. Paid 80 euros in city parking garage for 2 days. Staff was friendly, overall Bern and Hotel was 8/10.

Hotel was nice in general overview. The only one thing I was disappointed was no availability of car park and also the room was very noisy. Otherwise I was nicely surprised about location and welcoming staff. I can recommend your hotel to my friends.

Rooms are a bit narrow but clean. Food is expensive (the price includes breakfast but not milk or coffee...); the location is next to the train station and to the city center.

This was great hotel in terms of location, clean-ness, security and service but additional services were too costly, for example Wireless Internet was @CHF16 per hour.

Hotel was ok for the price charged. But construction was going on infront of the hotel, bit of noice during day. Breakfast was ok. Room was not so good compared to other 3 star hotels. One good thing is very near to Railway station. Cheers -Aj

While there was work being undertaked on the square just outside the window/front of the hotel, it's helpful staff, great location for the station and old town, and spacious rooms made it a very pleasing stay. Would recommend others as good value for money.

It is at great location, as it is very very close to the main station. We only paid EUR 66.50 per night for two including continental breakfast, which we think very good value. There is a big construction going on in front of the station/hotel, which was bit a worry, but it didn't matter as we stayed over the weekend and no construction was going on.

The very best advantage of the hotel was his very good location. Hotel was nice with very kind and friedly stuff. A little bit confuse was that in our case braakfast was included, but was not clear, that it was continental breakfast.

The CityAM Bahnhof is located opposite the train station on overlooking one of the Bern's busiests streets. Its entrance was a bit hard to find, wedged between a patisserie and a manchester shop. Internet didn't work and staff in the breakfast room were rude. Wasn't impressed!

Room was at the front side of the hotel so good be a little loud at times but very comfortable fantastic location to the old city and the train station-in fact all parts of Berne. the staff were very friendly and helpful i would stay here gain. Breakfast was mediocre but reasonable.

Rooms were reasonably priced, in good condition and sufficient in size. Breakfast was very busy. It seemed that everyone in the hotel was there at the same time and because of this, they ran out of clean cutlery. Overall food was passable. The hotel was very handy to the train station and main touist attractions were within easy reach.
