The Atarazanas hotel is an extremely well located hotel. It is close to the major shopping neighborhood that is full of life in the evening (and full of tapas bars), great for evening walks. The hotel is right across from the market and right next to a supermarket, which is great if you want to pick up some fresh fruit, breakfast, pack a picnic. We were very happy with the hotel, and would happily recommend it to our friends. The staff was kind, and very helpful. The hotel is 15-20 minutes from the Malaga beach.. which is not the greatest, but OK. If you want to go to the beach every day, go to Marbella, not Malaga. Parking is arranged with nearby parking Camas for 5 EUR a night (from 8 pm to 9am next day) ... 9am is pretty early in Spain (it's still dark in september) .. so we needed to rush to pick up our rental car each day, so we would not need to pay the pretty expensive parking. Booked car through Yeego.. very satisfied. 2 things you should be aware of: the hotel is in between two busy (and sometimes noisy) streets. We knew this from TripAdvisor, so we asked for a quiet room facing the internal courtyard/airshaft. This was a quiet room, but a bit dim. We needed to keep the airconditioner running during the night, otherwise there was no air movement in the room. The hotel does not have a lobby, just a breakfast area. This area is empty and unlit in the afternoon/evening... so we walked through this quite dead area every day multiple times. It would have been nice to have a well lit lobby with couches, just to set the atmosphere. There are no international (english) channels on the TV. The Wireless internet was free and worked well. Recommended for young couples

Only stayed here 1 night for access to airport which is now even more accessable with new direct train to airport 2 minutes from hotel.Suitable for our needs,receptionist very helpful

Well, the hotel and location were nice but the rooms were perhaps a bit small. Clean, though, so I wouldn't mind going there again.
