The Catalonia MoratÃn Hotel, which opened its doors in August 2002, is conveniently situated near the famous Golden Triangle (the Prado Museum, the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum and the Reina Sofia Museum), adjacent to the historic nucleus of the city and close to the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor. It is only a few metres away from the Plaza Santa Ana, known to be one of the best places for tapas nationwide and close to the most popular theatres in town. The nearest bus stop and underground are just 50 m. The distance to the train station is 1 km and to the airport is 12 km

The catalonia moratin hotel in Madrid was fine, well placed, comfortable, good breakfast, friendly service.
Price very reasonable for what we got.

Nice lobby and large rooms, good breakfast. Comfy hotel, but not a top class. I've seen better 4 star hotels for similar price. Anyway the location is good and my over all opinion is OK.

The hotel is clean, quiet, well kept.
The only thing I don't like - my room, and so are many has a window only into the main lobby - no outside window.

Very attractive building in old palace with original entrance and staircase preserved. Inner courtyard glass-roofed to form the only public seating or meeting area. Room comfortable and adequate in size with luxurious marble bathroom. Excellent buffet breakfast. No restaurant but 24 hour room service with limited but probably freshly cooked grill type food. Pleasant young staff. Good central location
