Location Overview

Catalonia Gran Via Hotel (formerly Catalonia Gaudi Hotel) is very centrally located at Madrid's Gran Vía at the intersection of Alcalá Street, a few metres from the Plaza Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. All of Madrid's main attractions are in walking distance-from the Museum Golden Triangle, to the Congreso de los Diputados and the "tapas" bars, etc. Some of the building dates from the beginning of the century, although it opened as a hotel only a few years ago. It was renovated in 2000 and still has the original neoplateresque facade. The nearest bus stop is 50 m. away. The distance to the airport is 12 km

It use to be a very good hotel. We used before but this time was a nightmare, with not air condicioner in the hallways and very poor air conditioner in the rooms of was imposible to sleep. The quality and quantity of the breakfast has decreases noticiable. Recomendation. No loose your money

I went there because I tried before and use to be very good...Now was a different story. The air conditioner didn't work and even that we complained several times and they promised to fix it. They didn't... the stay was a nightmare.I felt very upset because the ruined my vacation there ( temperature was 106 ) and they didn't matter.
