Aida Hotel, Madrid

We had a good stay at the Aida Hotel. The lady and the gentleman receptionists were very couteous and helpful. The gentleman in particular must be congratulated on his excellent service. We were very comfortable and the breakfast on the first day was very good. However, we were disappointed with the next day's breakfast. On the Sunday when I telephoned the receptionist about breakfast times, she told me that breakfast closes at 11:00. I assumed that the same applied on the Monday. We went down at 10:00 as were were scheduled to check out at 12:00 and were disappoined to be served in the bar with just the bare essentials by a waitress who just could not communicate with us in English. We tried to tell her that we needed eggs and other items on the menu, but she kept indicating to us that that was all she could offer.
