First the good things (++), then the not-so-great things (--). I can say right away that in spite of all the negative points, I'll be happy to stay in the same hotel next time I go to Madrid. ++ Great location! You can walk to all the main museums, to the Plaza Mayor, to the Salamanca, Chueca, Lavapiés etc. areas. ++ I was traveling with a friend and we had a spacious room (in fact a room for three) with a spacious bathroom. ++ The hotel was very clean. ++ The hotel was calm - no noisy neighbors. ++ Very good breakfast (included in the room prize in our case). ++ Good beds -- There was only one chair in the room - why not put in a small armchair or two so that one wouldn't have to sit on the bed ? And even a small table ? -- The only table in the room was occupied by the TV. -- The hair dryer was not really of much use. Better take one's own. -- The personnel, especially in the breakfast room, somehow managed never to look at the clients and never smiled (I can remember one exception). If you wanted something, for example more coffee, it really wasn't easy to get the waiters' attention. -- There was too little space for cloths. Why not add shelves in the closet? -- The cleaning lady folded our towels so that it was impossible to know which was one's own towel. (The towels are not changed every day unless the clients wants this to be done, and I consider unnecessary to change them all the time.) -- There could be a couple of hooks in the bathroom to hang one's cloths. And there could be a shelf under the bathroom table to put one's toilet things on.

Great hotel for the price. Comfortable, clean rooms and helpful staff. Central location, close to transit lines, restaurants, shoppping.

Perfect location - right at Sevilla station, an easy 1 min walk to Sol. No windows to the outside world but other than that can't complain! The door man (Damien) was lovely, staff friendly enough! Would reccomend the hotel Regina!
