| The rooms aren't huge but they are clean and the mini bar was free. The hotel doesn't have a stunning reception or entrance and they could probably think about upgrading it. The breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choice and hot breakfasts cooked in front of you. Didn't eat in the hotel for dinner as we always went out and tried different restaurants. Location is perfect for the Metro Gran Via and this is really great value at €1 per trip. It is really fast and will get you anywhere in Madrid that you want to see, museums, Palaces, galleries etc. If you can work out the London underground, you will have no problem with the Madrid Metro. The only downside to the location of the Senator Gran Via is the red light area. The girls were right outside the hotel day and night and were lined up along the street also. The most upsetting aspect of this was that the girls were very young and let's not forget that they are someone's daughter. |

| We liked the hotel because the very good situation, nearby museums, Teatro Real, and all the other sights of the town. The room could been little larger, we was missing an armchair. Very good service on the frontdesk. Splendid breakfast! |

| Central location excellent for metro, shops etc. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and excellent choice at breakfast. Help given with directions and how to get to the sightseeing bus. Just one morning where there was no hot water - a fault that was fixed later that day. |
