Apartamentos Almirall, Lloret de Mar

Having read a lot of negative reviews about these apartments we were more than pleasantly surprised with the quality and cleanliness of them. Last year we went to the Xaine Sun apartments which although spotless, had no towels etc. The Amirall was clean and had plentiful towels, changeable whenever we wanted by the more than helpful reception staff. (we travel with hand luggage only so having towels and washing up liquid and stuff really made a difference - we didnt have to buy it then leave it at the end of the holiday. We had to leave early in the morning but again this was no trouble - they checked our apartment the evenng before - for all those who complain about having to leave a deposit - just remember it is the same wherever you go in self catering accommodation in Spain and having met a few "Brits on the Pi**" I can fully understand why they insist on havng a deposit! We have already decided to return to Lloret (smashing little Andalucian bars where you get free Tapas with every half pint you drink - cheap and really good food! - Not to mention some really brilliant Spanish Steak houses with mixed grills even my partner couldn't finish!)and if we can get into the Amirall Apartments we will defnately be booking again. We had a one bedroom, sea view apartment - spacious and a stunning view over the bay - chilled Cava every evenng and even TV in English - my spanish is ok for ordering food and drink but not up to watching and understandng TV so BBC was a must to keep abreast of what was happening at home - and seeing and gloating about how bad the weather at home was! Roll on May so we can go again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Almirall Hotel quite a lot! We especially appreciated the big living room, the given cleaning set for the kitchen and the bathtub. The hotel is close to all kind of facilities, but still quiet at night! The beach is just across the street... Only the reception deceived us a little. They were not able to speak any foreign language apart from some words in English... Luckily we speak some Spanish...
