Very newly built in the year 2003, Hotel Papagayo Arena provides a total of 490 rooms, which include 13 superior rooms, 25 suites and 465 standard twin rooms in a 5-storey building complex. All rooms are equipped with a balcony, private bathroom with hair dryer, safety deposit box, mini-bar, satellite TV, air conditioning and direct dial telephone

The Hotel Papagayo Arena has a main dining room features an international buffet with show cooking. There are four other restaurants; the Pizzeria Veneto, Asador Grill in the pool area, the Oriental Pon Hai Tau and Maison Jaune, the French à la carte restaurant. Both the latter require prior reservations and Maison Jaune makes an additional charge. There are six bars including a lobby bar, the Piano Bar with live music, two pool bars, a beach bar and a typical Spanish Cervezeria

Additional services and amenities include laundry service, luggage room, currency exchange service, disabled facilities and hairdresser. Hotel provides also the fitness and beauty centre, which includes a gymnasium, Jacuzzi, 2 Finnish saunas, a beauty parlor with range of treatments, hairdresser and massage service. The Hotel Papagayo Arena offers a choice of three swimming pools, two of which are heated, many sun beds on their extensive terraces, with shade provided by colorful parasols. There are also two children swimming pools, a playground and a mini club for 4 to 12 year olds with activities and games. For the active guests there is a tennis court, multi-purpose court, French boules, archery, darts, billiards, aerobics, aqua aerobics and a range of water-sports nearby at a charge. In the evening regular entertainment with live shows is available. Discotheque is open every night from 21:00 to 02:00
