The Hotel Best Western Regina is a deluxe property strategically located at only 50 metres from Plaza Catalunya, and the world famous Ramblas and Gothic Quarter. Built in 1917, it was totally renovated in 1999 and 2000. Lovely hotel, very central

The Good: Free and strong Wifi, lovely bathroom, modern and functional bedroom. Great location right off Placa Catalunya and directly across the Plaza from the Aero Bus. The Okay: Breakfast-Not much choice but what was there was good, espcially the pastries. Hallway noise, front door to room a bit thin but I sleep through anything. Front desk staff-effecient, courteous, very nice to me but I checked in completely in Spanish (broken). Others who made no attempt in Spanish and were actually a bit short with the staff were not as successful in getting what they wanted. Tip = Be nice to the staff. The Bad: My room #221 had a view of a brick wall and the window was level with an inner courtyard (Laverne and Shirley style). Although, this made the room dead quiet and a bit dark which was great for sleeping/hibernating. If you want a view, you'd best ask before you get in the elevator to your room. The round-up: Good business/tourist hotel. Effecient staff with great location. I'd stay again. If you want a bit more fluff stay next door at their sister property, The Pulitzer.

Excellent location, ample room, very nice staf specially Carmen a young lady at the front desk, BUT, ROOMS ARE NOT ISOLATED FROM NOISE, AT NIGHT WHEN YOUR SLEEPING YOU FEEL NOISEFROM OTHER ROOMS, AND IT SEEMS THAT IT IS YOUR ROOM.

Very well placed in the center of Barcelona, the hotel is modern, very clean and the staff is very professional. We will gladly return to this hotel in the future.
