We came to barcelona to celebrate my husband`s 50th birthday. The hotel staff was informed about that.
15 minutes before midnight - we just wanted to get ready for celebrating the anniversary in the hotel bar - we noticed that there was water all over our bathroom, the toilet was broken. So we went to the reception. Nobody said `we are deeply sorry`, `may we invite you for a glass on your birthday `. They told us, they would just clean the room, but of cause, that wasn`t possible. They offered us another room, but we had to carry all our belongings by ourself, nobody helped us ! but we said to ourselves : `take it easy. So we had a bottle of champagne in the bar and then moved to our new room. That was how we celebrated my husband`s 50th birthday at hotel skipper. Nevertheless somebody must have noticed, that that was not the way how guests of a 5 star hotel should be treated, so we got a free bottle of champagne the next day ....We cannot say that the staff wasn`t friendly, they just didn`t know how to handle the situation

This is modern hotel . Rooms quite comfortable .In my booking it was clearly mentioned that the rooms should be twin beds ; unfortunetaly we were attributed one big bed for 2 personns !!! it's not very fair-play .
The restaurant ok for breakfast ; but too expensive with small quantity for the lunch meal.
In general staff is smiling and quite nice.
