Barcelona cathedral hotel - great location: less than a 5 min walk to la rambla (the city's main thoroughfare). Situated because the gothic cathedral, a main tourist attraction, there is a large pedestrianized square beside the hotel which is always bustling and creates a good atmosphere. That say, the rooms in the hotel was very quiet and we had no problems with noise. The hotels rooms are nice and very modern. We had a massive bed which was slightly harder than what i'm used to but still comfortable. The bathroom was great, a really good power shower and relaxing bath. Nice dresser and mini bar\facilities with good size lcd tv. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Had breakfast included and it was good quality and well presented. Didn’t have dinner in the hotel. Housekeeping was fast and efficient. Used the free computer suite for emails/internet and this was a good facility. There is a small gym and outdoor pool. The weather would need to be really good before taking a dip as it is not heated and quite open to the elements. My only negative is that while there are 27 channels on the tv, only 2 of them are in english - bbc world news and a travel channel. The rest are spanish, french and german. Considering that most of the guests in the hotel conversed in english it would be good to add more english speaking channels on the tv.
Overall however, i would recommend the hotel. Great location, friendly staff, new modern suites and at the price i think we got value for money

Location excellent
the rooms were very good, bathroom good, very nice towels standard toiletries plus some extras including a toothbrush toothpaste, razor and aftershave.
Staff very helpful, breakfast a bit disjointed not great.
I will recommend this hotel and will use again.

Modern, clean hotel, great location, 1 minute from central cathedral and 5 mins. From las ramblas. Large room, flat panel tv, complimentary internet.
Excellent service and help from reception and housekeeping. Good breakfast - lots of choice - food served warm, not hot - probably the spanish way.
