Maya Hotel Alicante, Alicante

Skønt hotel med god placering. Tæt på stort indkøbscenter og meget tæt på metrostation. I rimelig gåafstand af stranden og byen. Morgenmaden i top, som gav mig den bedste start på dagen. Et meget vellykket ophold.

It is a nice hotel with a very good breakfast, good cleaning, nice room and good service. We stayed 4 nights.

We stayed in hotel Maya for about ten days in total (febr./march). The location is good; close to the beach, the citycentre, a big shoppingcentre and castle Santa Barbara. We parked our car (for free) on the street, wich was good and well available. The hotel itself offers private parking spaces for about €10 a day. The swimmingpool was closed; they ware renovating it when we were there. The room was good, when there are no people in the direct rooms close to you. The big disadvantage of this hotel is that the walls are very thin; so you can hear everybody around you. At first we stayed in a room with a (closed) door to the next room (rooms possibly used as familyrooms). This was horrible for us; the guest next to our room watched tv with 'big' volume, made phonecalls and was also smoking in a non smoking room/floor. It looked like he was stying in the same room with us.. Because of the big disturbance, we asked for another room, wich was granted to us. Staff is helpfull and speaks English (at the counter). The cleaning was good, but could be better sometimes. Bathroom is fairly good and the bed was not too hard (but makes some noise if you turn). We had breakfast in the hotel, wich we didn't enjoy so much. No single fresh fruit (only canned fruit), wich was a bit disappointing because they produce a lot of fruits in this area of Spain. Also the 'juice' was artificial and we didn't like the coffee so much. Overall conclusion: for the money we paid (about €40 a night) it was reasonable.

Very clean, good breakfast. Primarily spanish hotel but not mneant negatively. Reception staff had good English and very helpful

We are very satisfied with this hotel, Maya Alicante. Good service, even at 4 o'clock in the morning: we got 2 picknic bags to eat later at the airport.
