| The Bundu Pot Restaurant serves scrumptious meals using their home-grown vegetables, herbs and fruit and milk, butter, cream, yoghurt and feta produced at their sister farm, Tamboti. Guests are indulged with breakfasts along the river bank or bush dinners and traditional braais under the stars around a crackling fire. | The central lodge, with its large wooden deck is a fine look-out. There is a bar a swimming pool and a gazebo to relax in the shade during the heat of the day. The Jozini, or Pongolapoort Lake is the only lake in South Africa with tiger fish, and many visitors come to land a fighting tiger fish. Sahaymoya is equipped with two ski boats and a fly-fishing boat. Boats are hired out full day or half day with a skipper to show you the ropes. Fishing reels and rods are also for hire. There are game drives and the reserve has an excellent population of wild life from white rhino, wildebeest, zebra, warthog, giraffe, nyala, kudu, impala, waterbuck, tsetsebe, mountain reedbuck, grey duiker, suni antelope, black backed jackal, wild dog, cerval cat, bushpig, banded mongoose and leopard which roam the slopes of the Lebombo Mountains. Boat cruises go on the lake and along the Pongola River, hippo and crocodile as well as many waterbirds frequent these waters.Canoe-ing along the river is also on offer. Rhino tracking is another activity for those who enjoy walking. Birdwatching is extremely popular with some 400 species on the list. |
