Hotel Barbara Fiesa lies in the most beautiful, greenest and quietest part of the Slovenian coast. It is situated in the bay between Piran and Strunjan and near Portoroz, around 3 km. Hotel surroundings feature numerous attractions that are well worth seeing and experiencing. Wonderful to visit are the hearts of old towns, museums, the aquarium, castles and the "Savrinsko pogorje" mountains with two regional parks. The distance to the Ljubljana Airport is approximately 150 km

In this air conditioning hotel guests can choose between 26 double rooms, 12 double rooms with 2 additional beds and 6 hotel apartments. All rooms have a balcony with magnificent views of the ocean and lake, direct dial telephone, Satellite TV and private en-suite bathroom. In addition hotel apartments have also been fitted with refrigerators. There is a roofed car park in the immediate vicinity of the hotel

The dinning room, which seats 120 people, is an open-type restaurant, serving lavish, buffet-style breakfast, main meals with a salad bar and a variety of delicious dishes from the a-la-carte menu. Guests can also relax and order refreshments at the aperitif bar, on the hotel terrace or at the bistro on the beach seating, which accommodates up to 200 guests

Hotel features a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned conference center – the perfect venue for seminars, conventions, conferences, business functions and other special occasions. The hall seats up to 80 persons and has been designed so that it can be partitioned in order to create 2 completely separate rooms, both fitted with modern audio-visual equipment

Hotel was aging in need of refurbishment. Corridors had strange smell. Sun lounges would have been very convienent as there is no sand on the beach. Didn't seem to be sufficent fire exits (doors were locked at bottom of stairwell). Checked out after the first night, didn't stay the second.

Comfortable rooms that all have a great view out over the ocean and a little balcony, unfortunately mine was spoilt by being a smokers room and it stank, also stinking out my clothes, bag, skin ... they need to air out their rooms after each occupant. The food was great as was the service. Getting into the town was an enjoyable walk along the coast, but getting the bus in was a little more challenging as it does not stop at the hotel but further down the road and it also doesn't go directly into Piran. Apart from the smoke, I really enjoyed my stay here.

A nice enough room but a bit out of the way - not that easy to get to upon arrival with luggage. Lots of rules at this place. Found it to be a bit like a dormitory with private bathroom facilities!

This is a comfortable and well-placed hotel in a quite situation but within a short walk to the town of Piran. Service was pleasant and generally efficient. The large swimming pool was an asset. We enjoyed our stay. Our major complaint was that, when we arrived for 3 day stay, the superior room we had booked about 3 months earlier was not available; for the one night we were given a basic room, all that was available. We were moved to a superior room for the following two nights, and the cost difference was refunded. However the matter was a significant irritant, and should not have occurred. For the whole of our stay there was a large tour group in the hotel, which is probably very usual for this hotel; as they were present only for the evening meal, this was not a problem. Fot the last day or two there was also a small group of mentally handicapped individuals and their families or care givers. While this was not a problem for us (we are both health professionals) I am sure it could be a source of discomfort and embarrassment for some people. But I guess that that is their problem! Room was pleasant, clean and quiet. Staff, for the most part, were helpful. Clothing cleaning service = excellent.
