First class service, friendly staff, very reasonably-priced restaurant food, clean rooms.

Very well located and modern hotel with extensive breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable and clean. Polite and helpful service at reception desk. Fee for parking garage rather steep: would have expected to pay EUR 15 for two days not per half day.

The location of the hotel was excellent, room was OK (TV didn´t work, there was no minibar and the walls needed repainting) and the breakfast buffet was very good.

The hotel has been rebuilt and it is great. The location is fantastic, just in the city center and the rooms very comfortable. There are different kind of rooms but they are very good, mine even had a fridge with 2 cocas and 2 beers as complemmentary, it was great. We had breakfast and was delicious for any kind of person, diabetics, on a diet, etc.

All newly renovated hotel, modern rooms, prefect location in the city center. Officially only 3 star rated but much much better than many 4 star hotels. Decent service, good food.

Nice hotel with good location, despite the renovation everyting worked with satisfaction. The lobby personal as the restaurant staff were kind and professional.

1. The location of hotel is perfect in the city. 2. Rooms small but but clean, practical and otherwice nice. Air conditioning missing but it was not a problem because of outside temperature was less that 23 oC. Common facilities clean and in very good condition. Plasing of breakfast service tables needs to be reorganized. 3. Breakfast excellent as well as ready proposed dinner list.

I had a very small room for 2 persons, but I could change it on arrival although at slighly higher price. Then, I was very satisfied and have been very happy with the room. Also, the hotel is building a garage underground which makes a lot of noise during the day. The customers should be advised beforehand that there will be heavy noise during the day. Otherwise, I have been very satisfied with this hotel and their service and specially, their location which is great.

The hotel is located centrally in Ljubljana, which is its main benefit. However, I arrived from Venice where I paid 25 euros less per night for a considerably better hotel. The room was really quite small, with not much space to move other than to sit on the bed. There was a very small TV attached to the wall near the roof and it did not have much in the way of English-language TV. The room and bathroom were both very clean although the shower cubicle was quite small and awkward. One of my pet hates is a hotel which tells you to hang up towels if you want to help the environment, but then changes them every day anyway - this is the case with the City Hotel. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, however, with a good selection of cereals, breads, sandwich fillings, fruit, cakes etc. I can't help thinking that the hotel was price-gouging when I was there. It was full (100%) of Scotland soccer fans and the room rate we were paying was far more than (a) what the place was worth and (b) what was stated as the room rate on the back of the room doors.

Good service, good restaurant, mediocre room (the first room I was directed to was quite unacceptable and was changed at my request).
