City Hotel Ljubljana is located in the heart of the city, only 100 m away from the train and bus station. There is also a city bus stop very close to the hotel. The distance to the Ljubljana Airport is 25 km. The hotel is in the close vicinity of several cultural sites and natural pearls of the Ljubljana city (the Ljubljana castle, the Opera, the Philharmonics, the old city centre, etc.) Grand Hotel Union is only 2 km from the Ljubljana Fair Ground, 10 minute walk from the Congress Centre Cankarjev Dom and merely 1 minute walk to the second congress centre

The hotel provides a total of 123 rooms whereby approximately half of the rooms are single and the other half of the rooms are twin-bedded with the option of extra bed on request. All rooms are equipped with private modern and functional bathroom furnished with a bathtub or a shower, a toilet and a hairdryer, direct telephone line, TV with cable and satellite programmes (over 40), radio, mini bar, alarm clock, an outside telephone line (for calls from and into the room), safe and wireless internet access (WLAN) are also available for your comfort

Restaurants & Bars

Hotel provides a great choice of foods served from 6:00 till 10:00 on workdays and from 7:00 till 10:00 on Saturdays, Sundays on the breakfast buffet. Hotels main restaurant provides rich variety of domestic and international menus. Aperitif bar with its 30 seats and the summer terrace bar with its 80 seats are for a nice chat with a cup of coffee, a short rest with a cup of ice cream or a pleasant lunch in the shade. In the summer time the terrace bar offers a variety of menus at special rates. If you like the active life, you can spend a pleasant evening in the famous Club Central, or you can choose out of variety of activities, which the hotel can organize specially for you. Breakfast can be served directly in your room, on request

Facilities & Services

Hotels additional facilities include safety deposit boxes at the reception desk, private parking area which cannot be booked in advance, an internet café including notebook rental service. Very well located and modern hotel with extensive breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable and clean. Polite and helpful service at reception desk. Fee for parking garage rather steep: would have expected to pay EUR 15 for two days not per half day.

The location of the hotel was excellent, room was OK (TV didn´t work, there was no minibar and the walls needed repainting) and the breakfast buffet was very good.

The hotel has been rebuilt and it is great. The location is fantastic, just in the city center and the rooms very comfortable. There are different kind of rooms but they are very good, mine even had a fridge with 2 cocas and 2 beers as complemmentary, it was great. We had breakfast and was delicious for any kind of person, diabetics, on a diet, etc.

All newly renovated hotel, modern rooms, prefect location in the city center. Officially only 3 star rated but much much better than many 4 star hotels. Decent service, good food.
