The Continental Hotel Belgrade seems to get a bad review on other sites, but from the moment I arrived at the hotel the welcome was warm and friendly, checkin went without a hitch, even asking if I had a preference for which floor I would like to stay on. The room on the 5th floor was spacious,clean and smoke free. The beds were comfortable and all the facilities in the room worked and were in good condition. The main restaurant was excellent and staff very attentive. The Breakfast was good but could have benefitted from a larger selection of yogurts and hot food. The hotel is well situated with a huge shopping center 5 mins walk away and you could cross the 2 bridges into downtown Belgrade with a 20 min walk or 5 min taxi ride. On the subject of Taxis be aware of the rip off drivers they are everywere. They are not very welcoming to the British travelers. I would recommend the Continental and would advise prospective travelers to take other sites with a pinch of salt.
