| Hotel Excelsior is located in the city centre, in one block of the architectural faculty of the Belgrade University where you may find also other blocks are assigned to the faculty of Electrical engineering, the faculty of mechanical engineering, the faculty of chemistry and a faculty of law. There is also the Svetozar Markovic university library. The distance to the Belgrade Airport is only 20,5 km. The hotel opened on March 14th 1924 . Due to historical and political occurences the hotel was used for many different things. During World War II it housed the german Genral Staff, and from 1945 1948 it was used to accommodate the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. It was only returned to it's original function in 1948 when it changed ownership, from private hands to the to an ownership by the employees. During the time it has been in operation the hotel Excelsior" has been characterized by a tradition of excellence and good service. Before World War II it played host to many famous and respectable guests, starting with Josephine Baker, foreign and domestic states men, politicians, barons, countesses and others. This tradition has been honored by the hotel Excelsior to this day |

| The Hotel was built in the year 1923 and provides a total of 117 beds in 46 standard double-bedded rooms 10 single bedded rooms and 5 suites. All rooms are equipped with telephone and a private shower/WC. TV is provided on request |

| The Excelsior hotel restaurant has a capacity of 100 seats and is located on the ground floor of the hotel. In a comfortable and air-conditioned banquet hall hotel offers a wide selection of foreign and domestic food and drink. Guests can sample from a rich selection of meals, of both national and all of the most famous foreign cuisines with excellent service. The night club is also located on the first floor and is open every day from 21-05 h. it is equipped with club furnishings and two VIP boxes. In a pleasing enviroment with chisen music and a dance number it offers excellent service of foreign and domestic drinks |

| This hotel is old/basic, but clean and the staff are nice. It's also very central - about 10 mins walk from the centre of town. On the downside, there were no plugs, the bed had only a blanket and one sheet which fell off all night and the bath and water tank leaked. But the worst thing about the hotel was the night club which literally goes on all night every night. I was on the 4th floor and it was like the club was in my room. For this reason, I'm afraid I won't be going back to the Excelsior. |

| Hotel is very old, and definetely needs renovation, but location is perfect. |

| Rooms are good size, but the bathroom in particular needs, modernisation. excellent position, good breakfast , staff are friendly. I did not use the reataurantin the evening. Could be a great hotel, if some investment was made in the rooms. |
