Great location for train station.
Breakfast could be better = fresh toast & fresh eggs would be good & hotter temp, but good choice of things to choose.

Hotel room was nice, just warm. Some noise from the street and the train station but nothing that kept us awake. Would recommend this to friends. Good location too! Breakfast was okay, not great.

The hotel was ideally situated for us, a short walk from Waverly bridge where the airport bus stops and a few minutes later we were checking in to jurys. The hotel is situated in between the two main streets namely the Royal mile above and Princes street a short walk away below and Edinburgh castle is only 10 mins walk away. The room we had booked, which was a std double, had a single and double bed in. It was comfy and clean with tv and internet connection, which we didnt use. Even though we were facing the train station noise was not a problem. There are two places that you can eat in the hotel but we only tried the bar meals which were ok and competetively priced around £6 to £8, we didnt try the restaurant as we wanted to try the many eateries in Edinburgh. As with any city eating out and the drinks were a bit on the dear side, guiness £2.95 pint and bacardi and coke £2.30 the average we spent on an evening meal for two without drinks was around £22.The hotel did have a happy hour in the bar from 6pm till 8pm where certain drinks were a lot cheaper.
