I have stayed at the Osbourne many times and return because it is good value for money. It is very central, the rooms are old but clean, the bathrooms spotless and the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast is limited, but ask if there is anything you particularly want and if they can they will oblige.

This is a truly good value hotel for the budget traveller looking for clean rooms and adequate facilities. The single room I had was small but the en-suite showerroom was new and very clean. The staff are helpful, especially the night porter Chris. The breakfast is fresh if limited in choice, but again staff polite and helpful. you own't get beeter in centre of edinburgh for the price.

Osbourne's Hotel is at the East End of Edinburgh's New Town, a few minutes' walk from bus and train stations, and handy for theatre, cinema and some good restaurants. The hotel is very much no frills, but it's clean, fresh, and the bed was comfortable. It's on a main street, so the front rooms do get traffic noise, but this wasn't as bad as I'd feared and the hotel was otherwise quiet. The breakfast was acceptable if a bit limited in choice. On the whole, decent value at the modest price.
