The staff were very friendly and on the whole helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable.
I was also attending a training course in the hotel. Lunch was nothing special and on one day the plates had not been heated. The meals were a mediocre, so much so i went out to eat each evening rather than eat in the hotel.

The hotel and rooms were very well presented. An old austere building but with a modern stylish interior. Unfortunatley the "scottish" breakfast didn't include porrige or kippers infact was more or less the same breakfast you would get anywhere in britian! service was smooth but, as is becoming the norm now, most of the smiling, friendly staff appeared to be east european aunfortunatley with limited english.
