The history and decor are the reasons we chose this hotel. On the day of arrival, the reception could not locate my name on the list, and we were told that because of a pipe burst they were 5 rooms short. We were offered the alternative of a 4 star hotel up town. We insisted on them giving us a room, and after some exchange of word, they finally let us have a room. Despite all the hastles, we found the hotel to be excellent in terms of the wood work throughout the building, and for the breakfast. We would recommend this hotel to anybody, but beware, you may have to negotiate a bit to get a room.
