A major advantage of this hotel is that it is in walking distance from the department store complex, "el corte ingles", which is open all evening and where there are a dozen cinemas, restaurants, a superb super market and - on the basement floors - excellent buys.
The price of this hotel is indeed slightly higher than hotels in a similar category. The decent breakfast - seldom the case in lisbon - is worth the added expense. The rooms have not been refurnished recently, but they are comfortable and clean, the service is discreet and competent.The cafe/restaurant in the basement of the hotel serves fresh foods, excellently prepared. The price here is also higher than the many restaurants in hte immediate neighborhood.

In comparison to other medium price hotels we have used upt ill now, this is certainly the best. Not only are the rooms pleasant, the bathrooms good and the breakfast unusually good ( a surprise in portugal ), the location is superb. The department store - entertainment complex, "el corte ingles" is 5 minutes away by foot. It's open until 10.30 at night with about 14 cinemas as well as a marvelous supermarket and quality shopping.

The hotel lies near a great department store "el corte ingles", metro station "san sebastiao" and beautiful park "eduardo vii" yet there is not much traffic around the hotel. The room was a good size, clean and the air conditioning isn't, like so often, too loud. The beds were a little hard, the bathroom was ok, the breakfast was delicous - wide variety was offered including lots of fresh fruit and juice. The coffee was good, and the rolls fresh. There is a "business corner" with two computers that offer free internet access. The service was friendly. The hotel restaurant offers excellent food but the prices are not moderate. There are a lot of restaurants in the immediate surroundings.
