| Location is good. Quite central and within walking distance of most major attractions. Rooms?_......well pretty good but the `points off' factor comes from the roonm's size. It's really too small for what is a budget room in the other European hotels we were accomodated in during our "tour". The "service" was very good. We were concious of not being able to speak any Hibernic languages - including Portuguese, so we really appreciated that people, who's English wasn't perfect, still appreciated that their only slightly imperfect English was a quantum leap ahead of our understanding of Portuguese.(In fact we felt a bit humble that everyone could speak our language, but we couldn't speak theirs - humble and thankful.) The restaurant? - again staffs' willingness to help us with the language problemn was fantastic Food? Slightly disappointing, not from any aspects of quality, service or practice, but merely because we expected the food would be more ethnioc "Portuguese" than it obviously was (Portugal meerts McDonalds). |
