Location Overview

The Horizonte Hotel is a stunning hotel that is situated in the heart of the city. It is located right opposite the Parque Metro Station, making it easy for guests to also explore the surrounding areas. The Eduardo VII Gardens are merely a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is also close to the shopping districts with all its bars and restaurants. The Portela’s Airport is approximately five kilometers from the hotel.

Horizonte Hotel features 52 tastefully decorated guestrooms, all of which are equipped with modern amenities. These include color television with satellite channels, direct dial telephone, in room safety deposit boxes, individually controlled air-conditioning and heating, iron with ironing board, mini bar and an en-suite bathroom with bath/shower and hairdryer.

Restaurants & Bars

For lunch or dinner, guests can visit any of the nearby restaurants. Unfortunately the Horizonte Hotel is not equipped with its own restaurant. The breakfast was just ok. There was no remote in the room. When I asked for a remote i was given soemthing that did not work. When I called them they promised to send someone up to have a look at it. I checked out without having any of their guys look at it.

The hotel is very old some floors are renovated. The room that was assigned was very old, moldy, the air conditionair didn't work, and there was a lot of noise from the air conditionair system. We asked for another room, it was better, it was renovated. The breakfast was good.

Clean: older hotel adequate as a sleeping place, 8th floor room O.K., bathroom cramped; breakfast choice limited but plentiful. Evening receptionist (older man/owner?) VERY helpful. Location 9/10
