Our stay in the Real Palace hotel was a superb experience. We stayed there unfortunately only one night in the end of our trip to Portugal. We had booked a standard room but got a huge room in the old palace part of the building. The room was in the corner, it was high and had a coach corner with a TV-set. There were three French balcony windows in the room and one more in the bath room. The bed was of course large and comfortable. The decoration was stylish and beautiful both in the bed room and in the bath room. The front desk staff was very professional, smoothly working, kind and polite and so was the bartender, too. The brakfast was wonderful with a lot of varieties. Under the building on the floor -2 there is a spa with gym, normal and Turkish sauna and jaguzzi which all are free of charge to customers. In the Turkish sauna and showers there was a mouldy smell indicating a moister problem in the construction but it did not bother us on a short stay in this area. The hotel has a good location, only a stone´s throw away from El Corte Ingles shopping center and some nice restaurants. The airport is close and the city center can be reached easily with public transportation. We have never got better value for our money than in this hotel and will certainly stay there again when we come back to Lisbon.
