| The hotel´s service isn´t the best, probably because of the personels bad skills in speaking english. They don´t always understand what you are asking for. |

| Although we had a hard time finding the place....we found it quiet, practical and comfy. The first night we had a room without a view, we were transfered the next day. The breakfast although good, could have had some changes to its contentn. Overall i would recommend to my friends. |

| The hotel is located pretty close to the railway station and the beach (10-15 min walk to the beach). Reasonable neighborhood, quiet streets. Breakfast was average, you don't get too much, but was fresh. On the cons side, you can tell the hotel is very old by the old locks (that don't work...), the old furniture, old windows, everything has the mark of time (about 30 years!) and they are not antiques, in case you didn't get it from the first time... Now we got the room for a very good price (around 50-60 EUROS/night, breakfast incl.) and we are the type of people who stay in the hotel only for the night sleep, so for us it ended up being not too bad. I rated it 5, neither good, nor bad, because that's what is is. The hotel personel was friendly, as all (most) the portuguese are. PORTUGAL BONUS: most of them speak english, especially the young generation. After coming from Spain, where you can hardly find somebody babbling a few english words, Portugal was like an oasis for us. Another detail: you get to be in Lisbon in about 30 minutes by train; trains come every 10-20 mins, can't remember exactly but pretty often. Nice large fine sand beaches as well. |
