I would highly recommend Vila Gale Praia for couples or girly breaks when you want to relax and get some peace and quiet. The staff are very friendly and obliging. There is a wonderful sense of calm about the hotel, the food is excellent and its location is perfect. 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach, across the road from a 2 star Michelin restaurant. I didn't award 10 out of 10 because I dont think guests should pay extra for the spa facilities i.e the jacuzzi etc. but we had such a nice time we didn't need these facilities.

Absolutely fabulous hotel with very friendly staff; amazing spa and great food in the restaurant. Far from Albufeira town (approx. €12 in a taxi), but it is within 2 minutes of walking distance from the beach. A very calm and quite area with no bars/restaurants around, nearest shop is 7-10 mins walk. Overall we had a very relaxing and romantic time.. Diana

It is a nice hotel, small, only forty rooms, hotel rooms are lovely, very spacious and exceptionally clean. The staff are lovely and very accomadating. The food is nice but very rich in the restaurant in the evening. The hotel is very quite, majoiity of residents would be over the age of 45years. The surrounding area is very quite, very close to the beach. There are temmis courts on site but tou have to pay for the courts, balls, rackets which i feel is abit much but otherwise very nice

Spacious rooms,some noise from overhead at times, well equipped kitchenette and very good lounge area. Excellent and adequate breakfast choice. Buffet meals offered varied choice. Location close to nice long sandy beach, however a little remote from nearest shopping town which is c. 5km away. Very quiet location if looking for a tranquil holiday
