Grand Terminus was a hotel with a special atmosphere: rustic when you walk in with oak panelings and antique furniture, but rooms were very nice, light and modern. Coffee, tea and fruits were available free of charge in the lobby 24h a day, which was a great plus. The only negative thing was the buffet breakfast: selection was good but the morning was very crowded and the staff could not quite keep up to the pace. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was also good - 10 min walk from the harbour and Bryggen, next to the railway station. Restaurant was closed on Sundays, which was a pity since we could not explore the extensive collection of whiskeys available!

It is located in a very good location, in front to the central station train and near to de fishemarket an port. Old but very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent. 3 stars. Warm regards. Alberto from Argentina

Clean and friendly hotel, however the noise level from the bar/disco was very bad. We used ear plugs which helped. Noise stopped at 0300. A lot of street noise as well with party goers going past in the small hours. our room was not serviced because we asked for the cleaner to return later, she did not only left a bag with clean towels. The bar was left unattended for quite a long time with no person to serve customers.

Hotel was central to everything in town. Across from Central train station but we did not hear much noise from it nor were there to many transient people. When we walked into the hotel the lobby was decorated in dark woods and was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large but could use some new paint and carpet. The web site showed the rooms as being "Shabby-Sheak" which is questional. For the price the hotel was good for European standards. I would stay there again.
