Good, clean hotel with large rooms and great breakfasts. Some rooms a bit noisy. Free coffee downstairs but bar very expensive.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was impeccably clean and comfortable. My room had an interesting layout, as the bathroom was at entrance level and the room proper was half a flight of steps lower. The bed was comfortable and pillows and duvets were more than adequate. The room faced onto the inner courtyard. The only inconveniences with the room were the outdoor bar/cafe which also shared a corner of the courtyard, which was open until late at night, and the fans which made a constant white noise from early in the morning until 11pm. These were noises that were easily blocked with earplugs. The hotel's location is ideal for accessing the port, or the fjord tourboats. Also easy accessibility to the airport bus. Apparently the wine bar at this hotel is one of the best in Bergen. The breakfast bar was excellent.
