| The striking Amstel Intercontinental Hotel commands a prime location on the Amstel River. Located at the convergence of the financial, cultural and shopping districts of Amsterdam, the hotel is a short walk from the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum, Spiegelkwartier and the Royal Carré Theatre. The Anne Frank House and the 14th-century Begijnhof are easily accessible by public transport or taxi. Amsterdam’s main attractions, museums and shopping streets are within walking distance. Upon request, the hotel’s limousine service can be used for picking up and dropping off from and to the airport Schiphol, about 20 kms away. |

| The hotel offers 79 executive rooms and suites, with a view of either the river or the square. All the rooms are lavishly decorated, spacious, and fully equipped with all modern facilities. As entertainment facilities, the rooms all have cable / satellite color TV, CD player, DVD player, pay per view in-room movies, sound system stereo, VCR, and video rental. Premium services like free morning newspaper delivered to the room and turndown service are provided. There is a mini bar in each room accompanied by plates and glassware. A work desk with lamp, a phone with voice mail and a two-line phone are available. Each room has a private bathroom complete with bath accessories like bathrobe, bathtub, a hairdryer and a weighing scale. | Amstel Intercontinental Hotel has its own restaurant called La Rive. It is a Michelin star restaurant, boasting a beautiful location overlooking the Amstel River. French-Mediterranean dishes are prepared in the best French tradition, at the same time being a light, healthy fare. The extensive wine list, a large selection of Cuban cigars, and specially designed porcelain and silver add to the restaurant’s mystique. It is open from Tuesday to Friday for lunch and dinner, and on Saturdays only for dinner. The hotel’s bar called The Amstel Bar & Brasserie is a unique place for an informal drink, a cozy lunch or dinner, or a late evening supper after a night at the theatre or a concert. Cocktails and brasserie-style selections are offered from a seasonal menu. Overlooking the river, it offers a beautiful view of an unending parade of sailboats, water taxis, rowboats and typical Dutch sloepjes gliding past. It remains open daily for lunch and dinner. |
