Renowned for its hospitality, the hotel rooms afford a luxurious stay in Amsterdam. Due to the historic nature of the building, the 5 storey hotel’s rooms all have different layouts, with contemporary décor. The rooms offer a view of the Dam Square, the shopping street, or adjacent buildings, and are done up in subdued shades of rose, blue, or rust and prints of historic Holland on the walls. The rooms have double-gazed windows with attached white-tiled bathrooms having pink-granite sinks. Room amenities include high-speed Internet access, television, air conditioning, minibars, safes, hair dryers and pay movies. An ironing room for guest use is on the third floor. |

| Having undergone a complete renovation in 2006, the hotel’s restaurant Roode Leeuw boasts of wooden paneling, Art Deco elements and exotic wood carvings. The restaurant is reputed for the Dutch regional specialties where guests can enjoy a breakfast, a light lunch, a drink or a snack or a gourmet dinner. It is open till 11.30 every night and affords a colorful view of Damrak, the most animated streets of Amsterdam. The open kitchen also allows guests to order from a range of Dutch specialties such as mussels, oysters and hotchpotches and other delicious dishes from their a-la-carte menu. De Roode Leeuw Brasserie, the glass-enclosed terrace is open from late morning through early evening. A selection of Dutch snacks, pastries, and drinks, including Dutch liqueurs are on offer. |
