Mellieha Bay Hotel, Mellieha

All rooms with a sea view,although rooms and general Hotel interior/dining room quite basic,but clean and tidy. Excellent well kept gardens and pool areas. Staff friendly as with all Maltese hosts. Very good value for money if on a budget.

Very nice location with a beautiful private beach. For sightseeing you will need definetely a car (the hotel has a big parking area). Nice rooms No welcome at the front door. Anyone can have breakfast at the hotel even if he doesn't stay there. Breakfast: Typical English (how do they eat such things at 8.00 am in summer). Anyway it wasn't so good (nothing sweeet as cake and the worst bacon ever)

FANTASTIC HOTEL. FRIENDLY STAFF AT ALL TIMES. BEST LOCATION ON ISLAND. ALL ROOMS WITH SEA VIEW. CLEAN AND WELCOMING. CATERED FOR ALL NEEDS. CANT THINK OF ANYTHING POOR TO SAY!! WILL BE GOING BACK DEFINATELY.

Rooms are tired and need a revamp. Good Location with excellent views and have obviously done a lot to a hotel built in 1969 to improve the interior recently and, if they continue their improvements, they will get around to doing the rooms. The staff are typical Maltese, courteous, friendly and attentive. The gardens are very well kept and the small army of maintenance staff were there most of the time painting etc. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Good price, very convenient. Quiet room but for the cleaness we can discuss. Enough food and good variability for the dinner. Breakfast is tipical for English an Deutch persons, but we are italian and this was principally a cooked breakfast. We prefer continental. Location very, very good!

Found the room a little small,especially the backroom, nowhere to put toiletries etc. however, the room was kept very clean. The restaurant food was OK, but I definitely couldn't get excited about it. The location was nice and we had chosen this for the snorkelling. Unfortunately the ocean was teeming with jelly fish for the whole seven days of our week's vacation so we were unable to pursue the very thing that we went to Malta for in the first place. The pool unfortunately wasn't very warm, so we weren't inclined to swim during our stay. No I wouldn't have any desire to visit this hotel again, the quality of the entertainment wasn't particularly appealing, and on the whole I found it pretty basic and didn't feel that 4* was a true description. 3* would be more apt.

The hotel has quiet rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant and delicious food, nice sea view towards Mellieha Bay. No shops or restaurants in the neighbourhood, you have to spend the time in the hotel. We had a good time relaxing, swimming, dining, etc.
