| rooms are interesting bathrooms ok if your short but dont expect warm water breakfast is the norm for eastern europe location is the best thing about hotel,right in the centre of kaunas |

| I had looked at lots of reviews on Hotel Metroplis so was fully expecting what we got.The hotel is old and shabby, although other guests said that some rooms were being refurbished.There is no bar. Our room was clean and warm with a small balcony.Old fashioned wall paper but I actually quite liked it. The bathroom was a mix of 1960's tiles,cast iron bath and a shower that didn't fix on the wall.My in-laws didn't have a hand basin only a bath, but did have a very elaborate TV casing!Breakfast was taken a few doors down the street at quite a smart cafe, usual fare although a shortage of tea bags. Miserable waitress.The hotel is just off the main shopping ave and is a 10/15 min walk to the old town.For a short break at very cheap prices, in a good location ,the hotel is just the job. If you want a bit of luxury then you'll have to pay the price and go elsewhere.I would stay there again as I don't spend all my time in my hotel room. we had a great break and I would recommend Kaunas for a cheap and interesting break. |

| The reception of the hotel looked very nice and glamorous . clean sheets and towels . good beds ! hot water run out after 3 minutes in shower =( otherwise everything was just fine. cheap hotel on a good location. |

| The rooms are a little old but the prize is very cheap and the place is central and calm |

| Very cultural establishment with a traditional lobby, beautiful revolving door and very friendly staff. The rooms were as I anticipated, in need of refurbishment, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. the new bar and restaurant that the new owners have recently opened was of excellent quality and the breakfast buffet was superb. probably the cheapest hotel I have ever stayed in, but what character and charm. I am sure that as the new owners start a complete refurbishment program, the Hotel will be one of the best in Kaunas. |
