Bar disappointing.
Air conditioning roof unit on sex club next door kept us awake.
Location - is nearer to town than you think - take the steps down by the funicular and you're in town centre in ten minutes.

We were three couples (American, British & Austarlian) who went to Lithuania for a week to look up our Jewish roots.
Kaunas is a poor city; if not dismal, then sad. Given this reality, this hotel was fine. By American standards, this would qualify as a Holiday Inn. It was certainly adequate: clean and well- attended by staff. But its location is not in the "old" city.
The bottom line: not having found an alternative, we would stay there again but we would never see ourselves going back to Kaunas anyway.
