Almost 600 years ago, Riga's first hotel opened its doors. Now it is once again receiving guests! If you would also like to enjoy Riga's history, you will receive the warmest welcomes at historic hotel "Ekes Konvents". Hotel is situated in the historic heart of Riga, a couple of minutes walk from its Town Hall Square and the River Daugava. Various museums, restaurants, entertainment spots within easy reach. Its windows boast a view consisting of three magnificent medieval churches; St. Peteris', St. Janis' and St. Juris'

Rooms Information

Hotel provides accomodation in 11 homely rooms with WC and showers. All rooms are renovated in late 18th century style and hand crafted furniture inspired by original drawings. The rooms are adorned by ancient maps, original drawings, engravings and hand woven blankets. It is a non-smoking hotel. Pets are not allowed

Facilities & Services

The cellular plan of the restored hotel is characteristic of medieval cloisters and castles belonging to brotherhoods of crusaders. The interior is informed by the late 18th and early 19th centuries, because this was the last time that any significant reconstruction of the building took place. The furniture is modelled on examples of historical furniture

What a great little hotel! Warm and friendly. We booked a basic room and yes that's what it was but what the heck,it provided very comfortable shelter. Breakfast a short walk away made it all the more interesting. Staff excellent.

Rooms are small but comfortable, breakfast is only a stroll away and is quite nice. The only thing I would change is the bed... A bit bigger would be nicer (I am 6'2")

a lovely hotel, and we would have liked to stay there,but after day one,\ they had water supply problems, and after waiting for 12 hours to have it fixed ,without success they shifted us to another hotel c m mackirdy

Very good hotel, nice and friendly staff, excellent location. Only thing that bothered was the noice from the street. Windows were too thin. But very very good choise.
