| The Avitar Hotel is centrally located, only 2 km from Old Town, 3km from Central Railway Station, Central Bus station and 10km from the Riga International Airport. The hotel is situated only 20 minutes drive from the city Jurmala on the coast of the Baltic Sea with its beautiful beaches and health resorts. The Avitar building was erected in 1930 and totally reconstructed in 2001. |

| There are 37 apartments, which conform to the international standards among which 17 are single apartments, 17 double apartments with connected rooms and 3 special suites. Each apartment is equipped with modern furniture, colour TV, direct dial telephone, hair-dryer, electric kettle, mini-bar and private en-suite bathroom. |

| Nice hotel not too far from the city center. Peaceful neighbourhood and friendly staff. Breakfast was also good. Autobus brings you to old town in less than 10 minutes and they drive frequently. |

| Avitar hotel is a nice,little hotel not so close the old city.It takes about twenty minutes to walk in there and there are busses driving every five minutes also.Hotel room is nice,quite big and the bathroom is very nice.The walls between rooms are not very thick so the noises can be heard at nights.Also from the hall the noises can be heard to the room.The breakfast room is small but the breakfast is ok.We enjoyed our staying in hotel Avitar.The value for the money was ok. |

| The room was very nice. Suite with TV ond fridge. I would have liked a kettle and gear to make coffee, tea, etc. Not a place for handicapped. Saw no children (went for a long weekend in June) Breakfast was adequate. People who worked there were acommodating, but many had poor english skills. Terrific cheap transport to/from the center. It was about 10-15 min., too far to walk, but no problem as the trams ran often. Noisy with a room overlooking the street, but it quieted after midnight. I would still ask for a room in the back, if I had trouble sleeping. Loved Riga, which was VERY accomodating for tourists. |
